The a/c in my 2011 Ford Escape stopped working at the end of summer 2017. I've been agape to take information technology in to go it looked at considering of all the reports of people having to pay to get the unabridged a/c organisation replaced. My car only has 56,000 miles on information technology in May 2018 and I shouldn't take to be dealing with any issues at this betoken, allow alone an issue that could potentially cost me $four,000+!

2011 Ford Escape with air conditioning that only runs when information technology is non hot! Have had it in the shop 3 times and it is in once more today! They have tested the compressor, the organization and put new refrigerant in it and still has the same problem! There are no leaks according to the shop! I am so tired of this! I take never had an issue with any of my Fords before this happened!!!!! What could be the fix to this?

I looked into this outcome and it seems it is a common problem on lot of Escapes. I was agape to go to the dealer since I read that it might toll 4000$ to fix information technology. I am non I will buy from Ford over again.

Was experiencing issues with vehicle not bravado out air on first 2 settings. I had the Motor Blower Resistor replaced and that fixed the issue, still the A/C was still blowing out only warm air. I brought the Escape back in for service and they said the Motor Blower Resistor they replaced had gone bad once again. They replaced that, however the vehicle STILL blows out warm air when information technology is hot out. This seems to exist a common problem with the Ford's and I am still waiting for the effect to exist resolved.

The AC of my Ford escape 2011 was not cooling in September 2014, complained at an authorized dealer workshop and was told it was fine then I had the gas refilled. In November the problem re-occurred and I had the gas refilled again. I once again complained in December 2014 when I had a turtle problem, the company insisted the AC was fine. The problem again re-occurred in January and I am being told it'south out of warranty and will not exist fixed.
The problem started earlier the warranty expiration but noting was done. The cost of fixing it is out of achieve and I understand it'southward a specialized service due to the position of the evaporator. Now I am stranded with a machine of 3 years + with such complaints, when x years machine from other manufacturers don't have such faults. I have suffered and so many major faults on this car that makes me believe it'due south not a adept buy.

Is it wrong to run across that I am not the only one that has had a complaint about the Air conditioning stopping and being told that I need to spend $4100 to replace the entire AC unit. I was told a decadent back has broken in the evaporator and compromised the entire ac system.
At xl,000 miles the AC unit should non take to be replaced . This seems like information technology is a Manufacturer defect in the decadent bag . I saw that ane person that made the complaint, was offered to have i/3 of the price covered past the manufacturer.
How many more of these units have gone bad correct after the Ford warranty has expired.
I am non happy. I am checking into this further.

The dealership replaced the whole Air conditioning system and even though I was slightly over my warranty as well....merely for this to happen without any cost to me I had to raise quite a fuss. There is no reason why a 2011 vehicle has an AC trouble when I use it, what, three months out of a year. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone!

I have noticed that many ford SUVs accept issues with the AC. However no recalls from Ford. I will not purchase another Ford. My mechanic told me they have replaced may Escape Ac's.
